I attended Nunney school from 1965 to 1970, I have fond memories of the school and Nunney at village. I can remember attending an school open day/fate back in the late 1970s and was amazed to see old documentation, ie: old registers with my grandads name in, would it be an idea to have a section on the schools website so we can all look back at these. It is a pleasure to be part of the school's history.

It is a true treat in this day and age to be able to send my children to the same first school I attended. The teachers are just as amazing now as they were then. There is many places where your child will hear I remember when you mum was little apart from at home. If you want to give your children memories to stay with them for every send them to Nunney first school.

I really miss all you guys. Loving Oakfield and am so grateful for everything you helped me achieve so that I would be ready to cope with starting my new school. The trips to the Isle of Wight will stay with me forever.

Picking my 2 children up at the end of the summer term was the hardest thing I will ever had to do,as both of my children were saying goodbye to not only their friends but to Nunney School due to moving.
The tears that were shed were not only from my children but from me too as Nunney school has been a fantastic school for not only my 3 children but my siblings and me too!
I will always be grateful that my children got a chance to attend Nunney School and experience a school that teaches not only the 3 R's but how to develop personally too! The teachers passed and present are all lovely helpful people and the TA's too.
It was a pleasure to have children that wanted to go to school!
We will all hugely miss being part of such a great school and will hold it dearly in our hearts.

Well what can I say about the best school in the land! We were a little apprehensive when our angel Solo joined five years ago, small classes all that jazz! Now after attending leavers assembly and realising how right we were to go with our feelings all that time ago. It has given our Son everything he needed and more to enable him to grow into the child he is now, we will all miss you soooo much, and I must just say a huge thanks to Miss Jones, Mrs Andrews and Mrs Griffey for making Solo's time there so rewarding. Huge thanks Di and Jon and Solo Xxxxxxxxxx

I am grandfather to Ben and Ella Phillips, ( father of Mrs. Louisa Phillips. ) I spent two and a half hours with class two this morning creating rockets. At the end of the morning I felt I should contact you to congratulate you all, for not only the quality of teaching, but also how impressed I was with the behaviour and quality of questions, of the children at the assembly.

Well done to you all, you should be very proud of the children and indeed yourselves to make my experience such a pleasant one.

As I live in Dallimore Mead, thus only a few minutes away, I would love to offer any help that I can, to help you to continue the good work you are all doing.

All the best to you all,

All 5 of my children have gone to Nunney school, and all of them have cried when they have left, not because they were scared about going to a bigger school, but because Nunney School has shown them how to grow as people and be polite and respect the people around them, encouraging them every step of the way. Every member of staff are there for the children no matter what the situation, Nunney school is not just a school but also a huge part of the community, a well respected school within our village. They not only welcome the chilren to school every day but also the parents, we also become part of the school and their doors are always open to parents. My children not only miss Nunney school but I will as well. Thank you Nunney School for giving my children the confidence to be themselves.

This school has really opened my eyes,
My little one has had the best possible start in life by attending Nunney First School , it has given her the opportunity to experience many different things , I have watched her development increase in leaps and bounds .
I have never known a school to have such devoted teachers and helpers , and have a whole community gather to help and support in events , its is not surprising that the children cry when their leaving day approches and parents alike ,,
, I really dont want that day to come for my little one .!!!

its such a shame that the children cant stay there throughout all their teaching years .
they would be such lucky children if they could .
well done Nunney First School , you're the best !

Well done on an excellent website! Fred and I have really enjoyed having a look through. Great for parents of current school-kids who want to see what's going on and no doubt invaluable for potential parents who want to get a feel for Nunney First School and what it can offer. A real asset.

At first I wanted my son to be attending the same schools as myself. But my partner was in disagreement. I can now understand why. The school is very informative of my child progress and he always comes home happy from his day at the school. I agree with the first comment I saw on this website. If you want them to have a good start, send them to nunney. The Staff are always willing to answer any conerns you have about your child and that in my mind thats reassuring. Thank you
